It applies to all visitors of our website, brands that use our service ("Clients"), and individuals who interact with our Clients' Instagram accounts via direct messages ("End Users").

a) Website visitors, waitlist & bookings

When you visit our website, join our waitlist, or book a call with us, we may collect:

• Your Instagram handle
• Information you provide when scheduling a call (e.g., via Calendly)
• Basic analytics data (pages visited, referral source, device type) via cookies or similar technologies

b) Client data (brands using our service)

When a brand signs up for DM Scale AI, we may collect:

• Business name and contact information
• Instagram account details
• Product and brand information needed to train our AI agents
• Billing and payment information (processed by our payment provider)

c) End-user data (people DMing our Clients)

When someone sends a direct message to a Client's Instagram account that uses DM Scale AI, we may process:

• Instagram username / display name
• Message content exchanged in the DM conversation
• Timestamps and conversation metadata

This data is received through ManyChat, our integration partner, which connects to Instagram's Messenger API on our behalf. We do not directly access the Instagram or Meta API.

3. How we use your data

• To provide our service: We use message data to generate AI-powered replies on behalf of our Clients — including product recommendations, order support, and general inquiries.
• To improve our AI: Conversation data may be used to improve the accuracy and quality of our AI agents. Data used for this purpose is aggregated and anonymised wherever possible.
• To communicate with you: If you join our waitlist or become a Client, we use your contact information to send product updates, early access invitations, and service-related communications.
• To analyse and improve our website: We use analytics data to understand how visitors interact with dmscale.ai and to improve the user experience.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Waitlist data is stored in Google Workspace. Conversation data processed through our service is handled via ManyChat's infrastructure and our own secured backend systems.

While no system is 100% secure, we implement industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access controls, and regular security reviews.

6. Data retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. Specifically:

• Waitlist data is retained until you request its removal or the waitlist is closed.
• Client data is retained for the duration of the service agreement and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes.
• DM conversation data is retained only as long as needed to provide the service and is not stored indefinitely.

7. Cookies & tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for basic analytics (e.g., understanding traffic sources and page views). We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking purposes.
